From a young age, Marco was immersed in his father’s shoe factory, learning and working with the intention of inheriting the family business. Unfortunately, the factory closed down due to a fire. Marco later transitioned to the handbag industry, which also involved leather production, but he discovered that #handbag manufacturing was more challenging, especially in terms of pattern design, which is influenced by factors such as structure, assembly complexity, and the type of leather used. Marco opened his own studio, which differs from typical leather workshops in that he teaches professional leather production methods used in the industry, attracting people already working in the field to enroll. Could this be considered a form of inheritance? Marco believes that to truly pass on the craft, it’s necessary to first increase the younger generation’s interest in this artisanal skill. Currently, Marco is applying his lifelong learning to establish a handbag brand.
